GNM or General Nursing Midwifery is a Three years diploma course and is one of the most recognized in the field of Nursing. GNM diploma course is considered as a stepping stone towards making a career in the Nursing field. Successful completion of a GNM diploma leads them to be registered as an RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) and are designated as a Nurse to working with Government, private hospitals and clinics

Age & Sex – The candidate must be (Female only) between the ages of 17 to 27 years as on 31 December of the same year of the session.
Nationality –
She should be a citizen of India.
She shall be a resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least five years, preceding the date of
making the application for admission.
The residential certificate should be issued by a Gazetted officer/ MLA/ Zilla Parishad / Sabhadhipati / Mayor of Municipal Corporation.
Education –
Candidates passed or applied for 10 +2 Examinations from any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Desirable performance as per WBJEEB.
