Admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Programme is conducted in strict accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the State Nursing Registration Council. The admission process is transparent, merit-based, and regulated, ensuring that only eligible candidates fulfilling the prescribed academic, age, and medical fitness criteria are admitted.

Criteria for the Admission to General Nursing and Midwifery Course:

1. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be17 and 35years.
2. Minimum education
a. 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) and English with aggregate
of 40% marks.
b. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political
Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home
Science, Sociology Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English
Elective or Health care science-Vocational stream ONLY passing out
from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or
other equivalent Board.
c. 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board
from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
d. Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
3. Students shall be medically fit.
4. Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care
Science Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open
School.
5. Students shall be admitted once in a year.

Selection of Students for General Nursing and midwifery Course:

The candidate are selected based on merit and individual interview.
